| Crop to Cure 05/02/09 |

Kudos to Louann Brooks for putting together a fun event for a great cause.
More than 30 local women met at St. Peter's Parish for hours of "cropping", designing and assembling memory books, for their families and posterity.

Everyone had a smile on their face. There were vendors on hand to provide anything that a creative cropper could need.
The event was supported by merchants and individuals with food, door prizes and baked goods. I liked the chocolate mousse tart myself ;-) |

My only picture of Louann didn't come out. After She recovers from this event she will be busy getting ready for the second Crop to Cure date, May 30th. This is also at St. Peter's.
Please go to her web site for more information on how you can participate or donate.

| Chontelle Hockenbery, the founder of the Poolesville area Relay for Life, took a few minutes to talk with everyone about the organization's goals and progress in the fight against Cancer. Chontelle is in the photo above and to the far right. Celebrate - Remember - Fight Back! |
