Brian Benoit has been a resident of Montgomery County for 37 years, the last thirty as a resident of Poolesville. He grew up in Northern Minnesota, outside of Duluth, and upon marrying in 1969 and graduating University of Minnesota Duluth (Go Bulldogs!) in 1970, moved to the Washington D.C. area courtesy of the United States Army.
Brian’s interest in photography started when he was less than 10 years old, wielding a cheesy-plastic Kodak Hawkeye camera shooting black & white film. His cameras have progressed since that time! Brian made the switch to digital four years ago, and is currently using a Konica Minolta 7D digital SLR camera. All images are optimized and enhanced in Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Adobe Photoshop Elements on an Apple MacBook Pro laptop computer.
Brian’s current published portfolio includes images of:
- Local landmarks and scenes including Sugarloaf Mountain, Monocacy Aqueduct, and Barnesville Station
- Washington D.C. landmarks including the Capital, and the Lincoln statue in the Lincoln Memorial
- Caribbean island scenery and people
- Northern Europe (Finland) and Europe (Rome).
