Volunteers Wanted

Circle of Hope Therapeutic Riding is a nationally accredited non-profit organization dedicated to encouraging the physical and mental development of children and adults with disabilities using equine assisted therapies and activities. Circle of Hope has volunteer opportunities. Volunteers perform many tasks that are vital to successful program operation. A typical day may include, grooming horses, preparing horses and riding arena for sessions, working with staff, providing feedback, exchanging ideas and making suggestions about participant’s session, assisting the participants during their therapy sessions, (under the guidance of the instructor), leading the horse during the session, safeguarding the participant during a session, and caring for the equipment. Additional opportunities include grant writing, fund raising, marketing, special events and promotions.  No experience is necessary.  We provide all training.  However, all volunteers must be 14 or older.  Circle of Hope’s program is located at Pleasant View Farm in Barnesville, Maryland.
